East Meets West

(12th December 2023)

I really like this picture that was taken in September, during a wedding reception in Popinjays, Hong Kong. Mother of the bride and groom, obviously from different country and cultural background, sharing their joy as their child tied the knot. It isn’t a spectacular moment, but I like it because it’s sort of a portrayal of my wedding photography path over the years in Hong Kong, and a portrayal of what Hong Kong used to be, ‘the pearl of the orient’ where east meets west, a lively and unique city that people from all over the world were longing to visit. Sadly, this is diminishing day by day.
