I am a documentary wedding photographer, but on a typical wedding day, if the bride and groom insist, then I am more than happy to spend a couple of minutes and photograph a few simple portraits for them. But like I said, I am a documentary wedding photographer, the most important thing is to capture the love and connection between the bride and groom. So, even if it is a staged portrait, without this element, a picture is soulless no matter how fancy or artistic it is. After all, I am photographing life, not landscape.
